SMessage — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 29, 2026

Privacy Commitment: SMessage is built on the principle of zero data retention. We do not want your data, we do not ask for it, and our systems delete temporary session information automatically.

1. Data Collection & Technical Identifiers

SMessage is strictly a "no-logs" service. However, to facilitate advertising and security, the following data may be processed:

2. End-to-End Encryption

All messages are end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) directly on your device using keys derived from your 6-digit passcode.

3. Temporary Session Data & Automatic Deletion

To facilitate communication, our server processes minimal temporary data (Passcode Mapping and Socket Sessions). Data Deletion: All room data is wiped from the server's memory automatically after 40 minutes of inactivity or upon room closure.

4. Local Storage Usage

We store small amounts of data locally on your device (Display Name, current room passcode, and terms acceptance). This data remains on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

5. Third-Party Services (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to show advertisements. Google may use your device identifiers to serve and personalize ads. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt-out of personalized ads in your **Android Device Settings > Google > Ads**.

6. Security & Liability

While we use industry-standard AES encryption, no system is 100% secure. The developer is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from the use of this service.

7. Children’s Privacy

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SMessage.
